           SOLO WORK

OVERVIEW: This project explores how randomness can drive creativity by generating a fictional band name and building a full visual identity from unpredictable inputs. The abstract name DIAPHOMOPHA and a randomly generated image shaped a psychedelic aesthetic with surreal textures, moody lighting, and layered compositions that blend classic psych‑rock energy with a modern, atmospheric edge.

DESIGN PROCESS:
Instead of treating the random elements as limitations, I used them as creative prompts. I explored typography, color, and composition through iterative experimentation, refining the visual system until it felt intentional and cohesive. Photoshop handled the atmospheric textures and lighting, while Illustrator supported the typographic structure and layout.

GOALS:
Create a cohesive visual identity built entirely from random starting points, proving that unpredictability can still lead to a unified and expressive design system.

SUCCESSES & CHALLANGES:
I Successfully transformed random inputs into a polished, cohesive identity, developed expressive typography that matched the band’s imagined sound, and built a color palette and mood directly from the generated image.
Challenges were crafting an authentic aesthetic without any built‑in narrative and balancing abstraction with clarity so the design felt intentional, not chaotic
